Recommended Resources for a Successful Midwife Business

Recommended-Resources-for-a-Successful-Midwife-Business-There are Many Great Resources Out There for Becoming a Midwife and Running your Own Business.

I have broken this list into two sections: midwife resources and business resources. If you try to read everything, your brain will get overwhelmed and shut down. Make your own priority list and a timeline to follow. Get into habit of doing a little bit at a time. I used to never read unless “I had to for a class.”

I learned that the richest and most successful people in the world all have very class things in common: business ownership, real estate investing, and CONSTANTLY READING! I said to myself, “Well, if you want to be like them, better start reading.” It was amazing, more I read, more I wanted to read. Knowledge became an addiction.

History, philosophy, finances, midwifery cultures, business management, taxes, professional development were books I was dreaming about. I couldn’t wait to finish one books so I could move on the next.

Most of them are audiobooks. I had found ways to use my time more effectively by stopping listening to the radio and only listening to audiobooks in the car. I spent so much time there driving to births and home visits that music was traded for knowledge.

We all have the same amount of time each day, it is just a matter how it is being used. Trade your TV time or phone playing time at night for a good book.
